After I was diagnosed with a rare spinal condition I had to give up my career as a teacher. I was unemployed but wanting to find a new purpose so I started attending various community meetings. However my pain and anxiety would flare and my confidence was super low. I started doodling the meetings as an aide memoir for myself - this enabled me to be more present and contribute to discussions. People were intrigued with what I was doodling and it wasn't long before I was being asked to scribe at their events. Since then I have worked for various clients.
